Daily assignment: The Labor Day's Celebration

The Labor Day's Celebration

Generally, labor day is the celebration or anniversary of all workers in the world. It takes place different days according to countries. It is a special occasion for all workers to express their excitement and joy due to the hard working during the hole year.
Countries celebrate it differently. In the United Sates, there is not special event. The only difference is that the day is off for almost all companies and schools. Those which are very busy sometimes make their employees work that day and get the double rate. No party is organized, people just stay at home watching movies or go shopping in operated stores. Although students are not workers, all schools are closed.
In Cameroon and in many other African countries, that event is celebrated every May, first of the year. It is a public holiday and of cause, every company, school, public or private sectors are closed. Previously, companies offer to their workers new tee-shirts and hates advertising the company. Some give money in gift card, soap, rice, or salt to congratulate employees who had had especial distinction the hole year by working so hard. The real day, early in the morning in every states, province, county, or town. All workers meet in the desired place. It so exciting since the area is colorful with various tee-shirts. The senior delegate of worker association come and in front of thousands of workers, supervisors and managers, he delivers a speech during which he will congratulate and give prizes to some workers. After that, there will be a march pass demonstration by each company showing up it sign board. The festivity always ends at each company where they organize a party, sharing amazing food, drink, and sometimes special prizes. My father usually win a prize.
In conclusion, although the celebration the labor day differs from one country to another, it is an indispensable event because not only workers have the day paid without working, but also it makes them more competitive at work in order to win more prizes.
