Dailly assignment: How to Choose a Good Apatment

Topic: How to Choose a Good Apartment

In many poor countries owning a house is not a great deal. Once a person has a piece
of land, he can build any kind of house and it will belong to him forever since the government does not ask any tax. Because most of them don't have enough money to build luxurious houses, they will build anything that could just protect them from bad whether. Some usually don't respect the urbanization plan and especially in rural areas. In those countries renting or buying a house or apartment does not cost too much money. For example in Cameroon, a four rooms apartment can be rented from $35 to $40 monthly while in the USA, with $40 they can't even pay the trash bill. In many prosperous countries like in the USA, buying or paying the rent for an apartment is not easy. Due to the fact that the government's economy is based on taxes, a person who doesn't have sufficient money should not be able to afford a good apartment. They are so nice and well equipped; therefore they cost a lot of money. My first experience in Dallas was choosing an apartment. Since I didn't know any criteria of choosing a good apartment, I had much difficulties. In fact, it is easy to choose a good apartment if you follow these steps. First, decide which kind of apartment you want. Do research online or ask somebody. Visit three to five apartments . Go to the leasing office when it is open. Secondly, return home and decide which one is suitable to ask. Select if possible the one which is located in a pleasant area. Make sure that road connects it to another street. Next, take the keys and visit the apartment. Look carefully at every detail such as windows, rooms and kitchen. Verify if the stove uses gas or electricity. Check the doors to see if they are in good condition. Find out if the neighbors are nice people. Then require that walls and ceilings are newly painted. Don't forget to ask if there is a swimming pool. It will be suitable that the security police sometimes be around. Figure out if the environment is too noisy. Control the shower, faucet, and other appliances. Choose as well as possible the first floor or an apartment which has many parking spaces. Finally, write a leasing application, sign a contract, and pay for the first month. Move in after taking all the keys including the one of the mail box. Without knowing various procedures, it will not be easy to choose a good apartment.

Dailly assignment: Draving a Car or Taking a DART Bus

Topic: Driving a Car or Taking a DART Bus

Today, everywhere in the world, the economic crisis has increased the gas price up to $3.00 per gallon and the situation everyday goes from bad to worst. In many cities and especially in Dallas, driving his car or taking the DART bus may be the solution of the problem. Analyzing similarities and differences between these two ways of transportation will help us to choose the best way.
Driving a car or taking a bus has many similar things. Both are the way of transportation. Most people often use them in many countries. They serve all people no matter of the sex or social class. Either you are rich or poor, man or woman, you can take a bus or drive. They are both less expensive than taking a taxi or traveling by plane in Dallas. They are very popular and even very common in many countries and big cities.
Although they present many similarities, they also have a lot of differences. Driving a car is very practical. With your car, you can go everywhere you want. Furthermore in many states like in Texas, taking a bus is sometimes very difficult. Buses don't circulate on every roads. If there is not a bus stop sign on the road, you will never meet a bus there. Although driving is most expensive because of the price of gas, a person can easily take a bus with only $2.50 and for the whole day with the same ticket. In addition, if you are a car owner you must spend more money on oil change, and other maintenance problems. Diving your personal car you can reach where you are going on time while with the bus, you can easily be late. Buses sometimes stopping at any bus stop-sign to pick customers. Also, if you miss a bus at the bus stop- sign, you may sometimes wait about 30 minutes before getting a new one. On the one hand, you can easily get a police ticket while driving . On the other hand, you can't get a ticket while taking a bus. Usually, with your car, you can drive safely to work and anywhere even at any time. You are free to take the direction and the road you want, while with the bus, you can't. After 2;00 AM, there are no available buses.
The increase of gas price today has seriously affected the economic system and especially the transportation factor is really concerned. Considered as the cheapest among flying or taking a taxi, driving his personal car or taking a DART bus is today the most needed by many people. Based on their similarities and differences, driving a car appears to be the best way since it has many advantages such as freedom while driving and economy of time. I would like to drive my car instead of taking a bus.

e improvement of technology made cell phones which simplify the way of communication today. On that one hand, some people think that cell phones are sources of many problems. They consider that they are bad and should not be used at any time. On the other hand, other people believe that cell phone are good. The three majors reasons for which cell phones should be judged good are: they are quickest ways to report emergency problems. also, cell phones can be used for various purposes, and finally, with cell phones, people can communicate with their relatives whenever and wherever they are.
The invention of cell phones has solved many problems which were really difficult. Today, It is the easiest way to solve road problems. When there is an emergency problem like fire or another danger, it is easier to ask for help if a person has a cell phone.
Another beneficial reason of using a cell phone is the various functions they provide us today. Some of them are equipped with a camera system. During special events like funerals, parties, accidents, or birthdays, people take pictures with their cell phones. With cell phones, people have access to the internet. Everywhere they are they can check their e-mail and messages. For music lovers, cell phones have simplified a lot of things. They can listen to the radio and music everywhere they are.
The last reason which should allow the use of the cell phones is the area where the person is. Out of the house, in an isolated area like in the forest, or village, a person with a cell phone can easily communicate with others. Cell phones can be helpful to explain many situations. On the way to work, a person who has a problem can use his cell phone to inform his supervisor that he will be late. Dailly assignment: The Effects of Overpopulation

Topic: The Effects of Overpopulation

The perfection of the medical science over many years has improved human life expectation. Every year, the world population increases gradually. According to a scientist whose name is Thomas Malthus said that from 200 years ago until today, the world population is estimated at about one billion. Every year, over seventy-five millions people are added. As a consequence of this overpopulation, there is not enough fresh water to drink, not enough trees to build houses, and rivers have become polluted.
The growth of the world's population today instead of being a medical success and human satisfaction , has also become a serious problem. Today, especially in poor countries like Africa, getting drinking water has become a challenge about which governments are really concerned. In Cameroon, especially in rural areas, people don't have access to potable water, so they must walk for long distance to carry water from the wells. Most of them suffer from diarrhea and other kinds of diseases caused by bad water. Growing crops is so difficult in those areas since there is not enough water available. For most farmers, only the raining season is the period to practice agriculture. Today, having drinking water is a critical problem that face many countries.
Not only drinking water is a serious problem, but also over the years, in order to build houses, cook food, and heat houses, people have cut too many trees and do not replant some. Consequently, today there is a lacking of useful trees to make wood. In each continent in order to make furniture, constructing roofs, and houses, people need appropriate wood. since deserts are advancing at high rate, and trees are not more being replanted, the demand is high. The supply is low and wood is becoming very expensive. The growth of the world's population is a really big challenge for the world's population.
It has been discovered that today, river pollution is a consequence of the overpopulation. In many countries, the increase of the population has affected people not only in the lack of drinking water, but water pollution is another consequence. In poor countries, people throw their waste , trash, and dirty water into the rivers. Some industries do not respect hygienic rules and all of their industrial waste are thrown into rivers. Many farmers also contribute to river pollution because their cattle waste is swept by rain water into rivers. River pollution is a direct consequence of overpopulation.
Today, we have discovered that Thomas Malthus's worry was a reality. The consequences of overpopulation, which are the lacking of potable water, insufficient wood for industry and housing use, and water pollution are the real challenge problems on which scientists and governments are trying to figure out . Expecting that sooner or later, those experts will find an appropriate solution to those problems, overpopulation will still being a serious problem for human being.

Topic: Computers Can Be a Student's Best Friend

For many years, the improvement of the technology has changed people's life in many directions. For the latest centuries, most of our grand parents especially those from Africa hadn't take advantage of the computers benefits. They hadn't known that it was the students' tools of success. Many students for the latest century did not know how computers could make their life easier. Today, the technology improvement and the great competition between computers companies make them less expensive and accessible to everyone. In many schools especially in prominent countries, almost all students use computers and Two-third of them have at least a laptop. Computers are excellent machines to help students. Before computers, students had to did their school work on typewriters. Typewriters did not allow them to make major changes easily, and students had to use special correction fluid to fix mistakes. Today computers let them move information around without retyping it and correct errors with a little effort. Computers also make researches more convenient for students. For example, before computers, students had to go to the library. Sometimes they would have to read for four or five hours in several sources before getting the useful information. Furthermore, they have to pay money to the librarian. However, today's students can now use the Internet from their home to obtain the information that they need much more quickly and without any payment. Computers have certainly made students lives much easier.

Dailly assignment: A Busy Job

Topic: A Busy Job

Many people like eating at the restaurant but, they don't really know how restaurant job is. When I was still back home in my country, I decided to apply for a temporal job in " Gare Routiere Restaurant de l'avenir". A was still a high school student and during that holiday, I wanted to work to reduce the spending make by my parents in my school supplies and tuition. I had never worked in the restaurant before. Just as I was hired, I was asked to wash the dishes but I strongly refused, preferring to quit instead to work as a dishes washer. They proposed me the second position which was serving meal to customers. I accepted and gradually, they taught me how to proceed. The restaurant served dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00p.m, but my shift was from 5 :00p.m to 12:00 a.m. I got to work a few minutes before 5:00p.m. After i clocked in, I started finding napkins. Sometimes I had to help set silverware on the tables., but sometimes someone else had to take care to that task. Although we opened at 5:00, some customers hardly show up till around 6;00 or 7:00. For the rest of the evening, my job consisted of greeting customers who were sitting in my section. I explained things that were in the menu, took people's order for drink and food. Also I had to make sure that customers had all what they needed. Almost all customers appreciated my service because I was good at anticipating all what people wanted before they asked me. The negative aspect of that work was dealing with rude or difficult customers but that was part of everyone job that deals with the public. We stopped serving food from the kitchen at 10:00, but some customers did not leave until 11:00. I have to stay until midnight to clean up then organize some things for the next day. My job as a server was not nice because not only it was boring but also the salary was too little.

Assignment; Differences of Culture in Communication

Topic: Differences of Culture in Communication

Intercultural communication is really interpersonal communication between people from
different cultures. Although individuals within a culture differ, some similarities in communication styles exists within each culture. In some cultures, people are generally very direct whereas in others they don't. They value free speech and express their personal opinions openly, saying exactly what they mean. For example people from countries such as the USA, Canada, New Zea land, Cameroon, and England tend to communicate rather directly relative to people from other countries. On the other hand, people from other countries like Mexico, Japan, Korea, and China tend to communicate relatively directly. In order to avoid conflict, they rarely express disagreement or displeasure in public in order to not offend someone. They value silence and tend to speak in roundabout ways that individuals from culture with more direct communication style find confusing. Sometime if somebody bought an item that is expired, his or her response to the situation situation would likely be influenced by his or her culture. A person from a culture with a direct communication style would likely show it to a customer service . He might said;"excuse me, this product is defective, I would like a refund please". If refused he/she will might ask to see the manager and repeat the request. On the other hand the person from a culture with a more direct communication style might not even return the product in the store. If he/she did, that person might show it to a customer service representative, apologize for being bother, and hope that the representative would take the initiative to offer a refund.

Daily assignment: My Favorite Place to Study

Topic: My Favorite Place to Study

The student success depends how serious he takes his studies, in which conditions and
in which area he does it. Of course the environment and the location where the student learns determines his success. Researchers have demonstrated that studying in a very quite place, a student has the highest percentage of success.
My favorite place to study is a park where I usually go to study. The first thing I see is a large gate protecting visitors from animals. There is a small narrow road all around the park that helps visitors to reach the area they want to go. Just beside the door gate, there is a small lake. Inside it, there are a lot of fish swimming. Around the lake, there are many benches on which I always study. Everywhere, there is green grass with beautiful flowers. There are few short trees around the park. Under the trees there are animals. On the trees' branches, there is a long snake. In the sky, birds are singing beautiful songs. Since the number of visitors increases everyday, the government found necessary to enlarge it and ameliorate its infrastructure. Ever year, thousands tourists from other cities visit it.
In conclusion, this very nice park is my favorite place because it is so quiet and I am very comfortable when I learn there.

Daily assignment: How diseases Can Be Spread

Topic : How Diseases Can Be Spread

When people move from one city or country to another, the spread of disease may result. People often bring in germ that may not have been present there before. These new germs can spread quickly and cause previously unknown diseases. If a germ is completely new to a region, people who already live there have no natural protection against it. As result, they become ill more easily and died often. Sometimes, newcomers can catch disease that were not present where they come from. If they go back, they may carry the disease with them and bring about an epidemic there too. Today, the spread of the swain flu is an evidence. It may have started in Mexico a few months ago and today, almost the world population is victimized.
Furthermore, changes in heating systems of building can also lead to disease . In the 1960s, there was a worldwide shortage of heating oil. As result, hotels in the USA lowered the temperature in their heating system in order to save fuel. This lower temperature led to the growth of a deadly germ that grows in heating pipes. When the heated air was blown into the rooms of a hotel, it carried the germs . Many visitors became ill and several died.
Also, the pollution of the oceans can result in the spread of disease. Chemicals from fertilizers and human waste eventually flow into the oceans. These pollutants result in the increase growth of the tiny plants called algae. These plants can provide a home for cholera which is a deadly disease. The infected plants can stick on the ships, which can then carry the cholera disease germs all around the world.

Daily assignment: Slavery In Africa And America

Topic: Slavery In Africa And America

Since 1619, slave traders kidnapped thousands of Africans to America where they were forced to work harder in American plantations. Human rights were not respected. The conditions on which they were brought were dramatic. Those traders were coming either from Europe or America and with less value things like salt, they went in south Sahara Africa and negotiate with the local chives or rulers taking at the end healthier and stronger people to America.
Slavery was an important part of the economy in south America. Southern plantation owners used African slaves to grow tobacco, rice, and sugar, so the cost of growing the crops was low. The southern colonies sold these crops in Europe and became very wealthy. Those poor slaves had terrible lives. their owners could sell them at any time. During their transportation from Africa, they were packed like animals in smalls boats to travel for three months in the sea. During the trip, unhealthier ones were thrown in the sea and even when the boat was too heavy, some of them were pushed in the sea to avoid the boat to sink. Once they reached in America, they were immediately put in the plantations where they had to work from sunrise to sunset. Children over the age of 10 did hard work in the fields with adults. Their living conditions were dramatic: they lived in cabins with dirt floors. Many slept on the straw beds with only one blanket each. Sometimes fifteen people lived in the same cabin.
Slaves could not leave without permission. They could not learn to read nor write. Their owner could whip them for small mistakes and hang or shot them for more serious ones. By the time the USA became independent from the great Britain in 1776, the northern America did not own slaves and were against slavery. Many religious groups in the northern like Quakers, Mennonites were against slavery. Through civil movement like The Underground Railway, many slaves succeeded to escape torture in the southern and moved to the northern where they were a little free. It until 1861-1863 that during the civil war between the northern and the southern Lincoln signed the Emancipation proclamation. That law freed all enslaved African Americans.

Daily assignment: Busy Work

Topic: Busy Work

Working hard in the US has become an habit because without doing like that, a person can not easily survive. Many parents recommend that students are not allowed to have another work apart of school. They state that having a full time or a part time job for students is a synonym of obtaining poor grades at school. For others having a full time job for students is a good thing because it is the way to teach them the value of dollar.
Since I got a part time job after school, I have trouble managing my time. By the time I get home, I don't have much time to do my schoolwork. I have to rush through my homework and I sometimes turn my assignment late. Also, my social life is boring. I seldom have enough time to be with my friends because I am too busy at work. Some of them have even stopped inviting me to go out together. The worst thing is that my job does not let me time to breath. Not only it requires too much energy, but also I must work twelve hours a day. I don't have time to do thing that I really enjoy to do like reading magazine, taking pictures, watching movies, playing soccer and so on. After work, very tired I always sleep in front of my books. Since I really have so little time for study, my grades are continuing dropping. Although the extra money that my job provides me really helps me, I may finally give up and take my studies serious because I need eight hours of sleep like everybody.

Daily assignment: War Around The World

Topic: War Around The world

Have you ever been involved in war, lost somebody like a friend, or a family member
because of war ? War is the worst thing the world has ever known. Many politicians believe that war is the best thing to attain their goal, but in fact, they are wrong. War in any case always presents negative aspects such as massive killing, illegal immigration, starvation, and the destruction of the economy.
Since the first world war till today, thousand of thousand people lost their life. Nowadays, conflicts appear everywhere. Recently without the international organizations, They nearly assist to an open fire between Mouscou and Georgia. Every day, people are victim of war's atrocity in Africa, Europe and in other continents. Sometime, people who did not died become disabled; Vietnam war is an evidence due to the fact that many people dramatically became disabled.
I don't need to give the statistics of women carelessly harassed and raped during the civil war in Sudan, Rwanda, and in Congo. I don't want no more to show the pictures of hundred of children who today are orphans because they lost their parents and some of them have never seen their father because their mother got pregnancy after being raped by offender soldiers. Another horrible situation is the starvation. People lost everything and have the obligation to live i the refugees-camps, facing problems of health, an hungry, depending on the international organizations. In many poor countries, politicians usually use children during the civil war. Mostly teenagers under sixteen years old, gun in hand are ready to fight against experimented soldiers and consequently, they are usually killed.
In conclusion, the economic situation becomes very critical during war. Can not we imagine how many buildings collapsed two years ago during Israel and Lebanon war ? How many bridges was destroyed by sophisticated rockets fired by Israel ? How many businessmen lost their properties and some of them the entire business ? The economy which has been built many decades ago has been swept off in some few hours just like the natural disaster occurred. With all these sad events, should we stand aside looking desperately everything falling apart ? I don't believe so. We have to provide some recommendations to the concerned people.
-To all politicians, political leaders, and head of states, to stop their selfishness, to stop fighting and killing people because they want the power.
-To all scientists and industrial countries making nuclear and atomic weapons, sophisticated rockets, and other massive destructive weapons to think deeply about human being condition. Every human , no matter his gender, religion or belief has the right to live. By respecting all those conditions, there will no more war in Afghanistan, Vietnam, civil war in Africa like in Sudan, Liberia, Rwanda, and Congo. There will no more illegal immigration, starvation, and sex harassment

Daily assignment: The cosequences of Buying a Used Car

Topic: The Consequences of Buying a Used Car

For many people, buying a used car is sometimes a little turkey because it is less expensive but I had that sad experience when I bought my first car. Before I had heard many things both good or bad about buying a used car, but I never though that it could happen to me.
My friend's brother was selling the used car that he had been driven for fifteen years. While advertising it, he reassured me that his car was in perfect conditions. He stated that he was selling it just because he wanted to buy the biggest one that could carry all his family. I made an agreement with him and we went home to see the car and took it for a test drive. The car seemed fine but of course I took it to a car shop to have a professional mechanic look it over and renew the painting. As he told me that the car seemed fine, I paid $3,500 cash for the car. Unfortunately, two months after, the car stopped starting. I went to the mechanic and paid $250 for the electric distributor changing. After one week, the steering and the front wheels started shaking. So, I spent one more time $700. I was so nervous and started finding somebody who could buy that boring car, But I didn't get anybody. The worst occurred when the engine started making an unusual noise, releasing to much smoke, and finally stopped running. I explained to the owner, but he didn't want to listen to me. I had to pay another $2, 000 to have a new engine installed. Therefore my used car ended up coasting me almost $6,500.
Since that day I discovered that buying a used car was synonym of playing the lottery and I took the resolution to no longer buy used things.

Daily assignment: Should a Woman Wake a Good President

Topic: Should a Woman Make a Good President

Women had been fighting for many years, claiming their liberation from repressive men. Their emancipation towards pacific movements and many demands gave them many rights.
Today and everywhere in the world, they have prestigious jobs position. The challenged question is to know if the can make a woman a good president.
A woman would make a good president because women are more emotional. They have feeling about human personality. As mothers they can care about people. They know how people are surfing all over the world, that is why if they become president, they can do their best to solve and prevent all bad situations happening around the world such as war, oppressions, prostitution and every form of violence.
They always like peace and in this way, they will know how to solve problems about conflicts between countries, avoiding nuclear experimentation and limit the appearance of war all over the world. Women are generally more responsible than men and always give good advice to their husbands, children and family's members. That is why if they become president, they will probably continue in the same way to promote peace around the world. With their sense of responsibility, women appear to be the best choice as president due to the highest qualities that they have.

Daily assignment: The Negative Effects of Hurricane Ike

Topic: The Negatives Effects Of Hurricane Ike

Almost every year, there is often somewhere in the world a natural disaster. Last year
, hurricane Ike ripped through Galveston and Houston, Texas, leaving devastation in its path. At the end of that terrible situation, the consequences were enormous such as damage to delivery of essential services, dangerous condition that have kept people from returning home, and an economy that has been devastated.
As after every natural disaster, damages were inestimable after that sad situation. The town was totally in darkness. As the electricity cable were damaged somewhere, the electricity supply was therefore unavailable. There were no possibility to use the Internet. Elevators were not working because of lacking of energy. In some cities, there was no more possibility to get water from the tap because the hydraulic system had been destroyed. So taking a shower, washing dishes, or doing laundry were therefore impossible. Getting drinking water was difficult since many stores were closed.
Returning home for some people after hurricane became a dream due to the fact that some houses were completely destroyed. Homeless, they did not have another choice than renting a new apartment or depending on other people. For some people, they didn't lose their house, but the flooding had damaged everything in the house. All equipment in the houses were under water including including every single document left. In some houses, the electricity system had to be rebuild because all fuses were out of use. According to experts, returning in some of those houses without revising the electricity system was pretty dangerous because the current at that moment could cause a fire.
One of the most important effect of the hurricane was the destruction of the economy. The government has to spend a lot of money , and it will take time to rebuild everything. Some public infrastructures such as schools, Hospitals have been destroyed. The government needs a lot of money to help homeless by paying their apartment, providing them with food, and helping them to find a new job. Also it has already spent a lot of money to cure injured people. Lending money to banks and other institutions that were affected will not be easy.
In conclusion, natural disaster can not be avoided in any case. Although hurricane Ike's effects on human beings are so negative such as destruction of essential services, damaged conditions for people to return home, and devastation of the economy, there is no possibility to avoid it. The only possibility that people can do is the prevention. At once experts signal its appearance, people must leave the area as soon as possible.

Daily assignment: Africa's Problems Today

Topic: Africa's problems Today

The newspapers and television reports around the world show Africa as a continent with so many problems. They focus on the wars, the starving children, the terrible diseases, and the natural disasters. Other, more positive aspect of life in Africa are rarely shown.
In fact there are serious problems in many African countries. The biggest problem facing Africa today is the continuing treat of war. Somewhere those wars can be leaded to a dramatic competition among tribes. It can sometimes start as a single little problem and then become serious and more violent because of the use of the dramatic sophisticated weapons. For some countries it sometimes occurs because of the dispute of a bordering piece of land and especially if it contains prestigious natural, resources such as oil, natural gas, iron, gold...etc. Usually, civil wars happen because of the fight between politicians for power, and sometimes because those who have the power do not want to share with the others and rule the country like their farms or their stores disregarding or listening to the the other party. For example, after the independence in twentieth century, there were many tribes and any tribe wanted to rule. As result civil wars occur everywhere. In some countries, those wars have been going on for many decades as different groups fight to control the power. Beside this problem is the starvation. Children, women, and old people are the most victim. Because activities are not more moving, stealing becomes common since the government is unable to control the whole territory.
In spite of those problems, many Africans are hopeful about their future. Some of them are joining together to change and improve their lives. Most of them realize that moving in another prominent continent should be the best solution instead of fighting and killing themselves.

Daily assignment: Barack Obama, a President of The " America Dream". How Can Our New President Is Going To Change The Direction Of Our Country On: EO

Topic: Barack Obama, a President of The " American Dream". How Do we Believe That Our New President is Going To Change The Direction of Our Country on : Economy, War on Terrorism, and Immigration

For the first time of the American history, Barack Obama has been elected the first African American president. It is a real dream for most American citizens. The former president George Bush's policy has been severely criticized by many citizens because of its weakness. The challenged question on which the new president is involved is how to make the great change in economy, war on terrorism, and immigration .
President Barack Obama reaches White house at the moment that the American's economy situation reaches the lowest level. The economy crises has reaches the pick. Most people lost their jobs, banks failed, the inflation is serious. The American Dollar lost its value, gas price is increasing everyday. People are offset and for some of them, the 1929's great depression may occur again. As our new president said during his cam pain, I think that to solve this problem, he will ask help for business men to create more jobs, lend more money to bankers and make enterprises to restart. He will try his best to make taxes and mortgage low to encourage people buying houses. He will reduce expenses on unproductive activities such as war. With these procedures, the America's economy will be save from the catastrophe.
About war on terrorism, the president seems to be a peaceful person. Due to the fact that today America's economy goes from bad to the worst because of the expenditure invested in war in Irack, Afghanistan, and in other fronts, he will disregard war situation and focus more on productive activities. America is involved in war in may countries. Until today, Thousand of Americans lost their life and many America's embassies had been attacked around the world by activists because of its policy concerning war. In this way to solve the problem, the president will withdraw all American troupes from foreign countries and convince the countries involved in war to respect democracy instead of fighting. Fair elections, the respect of other people's belief and democracy is the best way to stop war around the world.
Illegal immigration today is one of the difficult situation that faces the American government. To build a strong economy, the government needs money from taxes. Since the illegal immigrants don't pay any money to the government, they are not supposed to work. Usually, the terrorism rate and drug increase occur by some of those illegal immigrants. In this way, the president will have two options: first, he will secure all borders by increasing the number of immigration police. Secondly, he could allow immigrants who are already in this country to work but with the payment of heavy taxes to the government. That way will discourage the future illegal immigrants to attempt reaching in the USA because they will work so hard, but gain a very little money.
To realize all what he promised to Americans during his campaign, Barack Obama will need the collaboration of all Americans. The most important problem which embrace people today such as economy, war on terrorism and illegal immigration are not easy to solve, but he can make them easier if he follows examples leaded by the former presidents such as Franklin Roosevelt and Bill Clinton who in this similar situation succeeded to rebuild and put the American's economy in the highest level.

Daily assignment: My Favorite Holliday in Cameroon

Topic: My favorite Holiday in Cameroon

I will never forget what the excitement Christmas holiday brought me in my country in
2005. That special holiday was Christmas. People celebrated it to remember the birth of God's son Jesus Christ. It was the opportunity thank God for his blessing and everything he did for us. It came on December, 25. A few months before, everybody prepared effectively for the event. I planed ahead and made a special budget. Like some of my friends, I spent enough money for the occasion: I bought a new pair of shoes, one pairs of jeans trousers and a black one, a nice white shirt, a pair of glasses, a hate, and two pairs of socks. I renew the painting in my bed room and bought some new bed sheets. My parents bought some new furniture and a TV set because the old one was broken. The holiday stared on the evening of December, 25. It was a special opportunity for young people to organize parties and games. Most of them didn't sleep all night long. Christians went to church at midnight to celebrate the birth of God's son. Early in the morning of December 25, people woke up and walked from house to house, wishing " happy birth day " to every one. Christians went to the day church. In the afternoon, people visited each other and there were parties everywhere. I celebrated it with my parents, brothers, sisters, friends, and relatives. We did it at my uncle's house because he had a special event. He organized an amazing party after church service. That day I danced as I have never done with friends. I was so excited to meet my girl friend with whom we separated five years ago. We watched special movies related to Jesus' life. We ate delicious cake, bread, and drank wine with soda. That day, since I was a very poor boy, I did not wear special coat like the other young men. I wore only my usual white shirt and a black long trousers. In conclusion, Christmas holiday in 2005 made me very proud because I met an old high school girl friend.

Daily assignment: An Important Lesson I Learned From My Parents

Topic: An Important Lesson I Learned From My Parents

Today, my life depends on the most important lesson that I learned from my parents. I grew up in my country and learned many things from my parents. At the age of ten, my parents started to teach me useful habits. They showed me how to wash dishes, clean the floor, and respect other people. Among all those lessons, I discovered that being honest was the most important value. They told me that it was not good to steal. They said that a good child was the one who was kind and honest. The child who disobeyed his parents or who played on the way home after school had bad results. I saw a teenager being arrested by the police for shooting someone's car. While I was going to store, I saw a little boy who was seriously hit by the car because he was playing in the way. Also, my neighbor's house caught fire because their little girl was playing with the stove. I respected all my parents' advice and today, I am saved from some problems. In conclusion, my future is influenced by the lessons that I learned from my parents.

Daily assignment: Should We Give Up Using Calcultors in Maths Class?

Topic: Should We Give Up Using Calculators In Maths Class?

Modern technology is causing changes in our lives that have some people worried. Everyone agrees that new inventions have made life easier, however we need to ask ourselves if we are missing something along the way.
When I was still in junior high school, My teacher in Maths class sometimes said: "No more calculators in this classroom". Most of my classmates had been using calculators so that adding or subtracting simple numbers was no more easy. By the way, a research shows that other students coming from China or from Vietnam were quicker and most accurate in solving their maths equations either simple or complex ones without calculators. We learned that the Chinese students had used calculators much less often during their early school years than we had. I was a little nervous because not only using the calculators was faster but also I had to think less. I was not the only one to complain since many of my classmates had the same problems and some even more than I.
Some researchers have similar feeling about technology. Good handwriting can help people because they can read easily what they wrote. Businesses ask their employees , and many doctors have taken that course in the way that they could read them better. The use of computers has made some people lose their ability to write with hand and on the piece of paper . Typing on the computer has become so popular and easier that handwriting lost its value.
Are computers and calculators robbing people of valuable skills? Some people think so. Others say such questions just show that some of us cannot deal with change. So the improvement and the excessive use of calculators and computers tend to make human beings lazier. If we don't train our memory and use less calculators, we will gradually lose all our mental faculties.

Daily assignment: My Elementary School Days

Topic: My Elementary School Days

In my home country, my elementary school days were very busy. I was six years old
when I stared elementary school. My school's name was "Peaceful Elementary school of Cameroon". Because my father hadn't a car, I used to walk to and from school. My classes started at 7:00 AM and ended at 4:00 AM. At that school, I studied French, grammar, and Biology. I really liked to study in the morning because I was more fresh at that time. My special friends were boys because I was very shy to make friends with girls. We used to study together and play during break. When classes ended, we separated promising to meet the following days. Today's elementary school days are quiet different from the ones a few decades ago because not only the programs are changed but also because students are too young. The methods of teaching are been completely modified. The pedagogy applied today is so easy and makes the children more creative. In conclusion, I really liked my elementary school days although they were busy.

Daily assignment: African's Way of Life

Topic: African's Way of Life

Many people will not believe but, it is a fact that African countries and other poor countries
have their original style of life characterized with corruption, crimes , violence, and dictatorship. There, people of the lower class will remain poor forever while those who own the power will continue dominating them.
Generally, there is not presidential elections in those countries. They just pretend holding elections to show to international organization that there is been elections. In fact all conditions are set in advance to make the former president to win. Some few decades ago," mono party " was the most wanted way of rolling many Africans countries until 1985 when the former Soviet Union collapsed. Therefore, most poor countries went on real strike to claim the real democracy and make the multiparty effective. It was not easy. many dictators did not want to understand. Violence dominated many countries civil wars occurred everywhere. Opposition parties leaders were massively arrested and some were brutalized or killed. Demonstrators intensified violence, some of them destroying their enemies' cars, houses and stores. Stilling became so common since the policemen and the other forces were humiliated by the demonstrators. Many people lost their life and hundred of houses were burnt. Finally the multiparty was adopted in some countries, but it was just a way to ease the tension because until today, nothing has changed. In Those countries, there is not elections. The dictators will still remain and died in power. At any time they can change the constitution like they want. Although many constitutions stipulate that a president of republic should not participate for more than three elections, the dictators presidents don't accept. They decide what they want and when they want since they have their corrupted army which protect them. Today, we discover that some of them are trying to being substituted by their sons by the time they died in power. During their regime, they rule the country like their private property. They do not ask anybody's opinion. The parliament is there only to approve what the president decided. He is the only person who can control the revenue of all natural resources like oil, wood, gold.....etc. He can still the country's money and build skyscrapers in foreign countries without any fear since army is his possession and is there to protect him. The constitution does not allow the president to stay more than forty days out of the country however, in my country, the president can take two months vacation in Europeans countries and nobody will protest. If you criticize, you will be treat as an "oppasant" and can even be kill.
Expecting that one day,the international community will be conscious and take direct actions against those dictators presidents, poor countries may not only died of hungry, general poverty, but also for civil wars because of the dictation of their presidents.

Daily assignment: About my Two Friends

Topic: About My Two Friends

I am planing to go on vacation in Los Angeles, and I want to choose a good friend as my
traveling companion. I have a lot of friends, and among them, two appear to be the best. Julie and John are my very close friends since we grew up together, lived in the same town, and went to the same school. It is when I look at their similarities and differences that I will know which one will travel with me during my next journey.
Julie and John in some ways present some similarities like twins. Both are tall and slim. They both have black hair and blue eyes. They speak exactly the same. Both of them have long fingernails, look exactly the same and cross their legs in the same way. Usually they are very kind people. My two friends always give good advice. Both are religious and they are good singers. They walk the same and sport is their favorite hobby. Movie lovers as they are, they often invite me on Saturday to watch comedian and western movies. They both visit me every weekend. They like to go to the party. My friends live in Dallas, and all their parents work. They like vacations and also, they are all students.
Although they are similar in some ways, their differences are enormous. Julie is a girl and John is a boy. As Julie has short legs and small ears, John has long legs and large ears. On one hand, Julie has curly hair and white teeth; on the other hand, John has strait hair and yellow teeth. She has hairy feet while John doesn't have. Although she weighs 200 pounds, John weighs 170 pounds.Belonging to the middle class, Julie doesn't have enough financial difficulties while John totally depends on his friends since he belongs to the poor class. He was born in 1980 but Julie was born in 1985. Very busy, Julie always makes a phone call while John seldom makes a phone call. Although Julie is a very friendly person, John is a very rude boy. On one hand, John always looses his temper; on the other hand,Julie seldom losses her temper. She always smiles whatever the situation she encounters. Julie is always punctual at school, while John is always late. She is a very helpful girl; she often assists me , helps doing my laundry, doing my home work, and even cooking my lunch while John never helps anybody. Julie always studies her lessons gradually while John studies only if there is a test. He always like to go hunting, but Julie has never gone hunting. Julie usually works part time although John works full time. She has twelve sisters , but John has only four. She like morning classes. Also, she like to go shopping, while, while John doesn't like to go shopping. He attends evening classes.
Since Julie and John are my two best friends, I would like to travel with one of them. Based on their similarities and differences, Julie appears to be my favorite companion because she present more positive attitude than John. In conclusion, I would choose Julie as a friend for my journey to Los Angeles

attention. It is played everywhere around the world however Jamaica is the country where it started. Among so famous names like Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, U Roy, Burning Spear, ...., Bob Marley is the musician who has seriously impressed me.
He is the best musician not only because he created a special rhythm of dance but also due to his high sense of analyzing things and his philosophy against discrimination. Just at the begining of his carrier, so young, he didn't hesitate to take action right away to condemn violence torture and all other form of discrimination base on people's color, ethnicity, belief, and though. So courageous he is one of the heroes who openly demonstrated that human right should be respected and every one has the right to live, that there will no more distinction and all people are condemned to live together. He spent his entire life fighting against colonialism, violence and war around the world. Because of his positive way of thinking, feeling, suggestion to political leaders about torture which exists everywhere, many other musicians have started playing his type of music to criticize what happens negatively everywhere in the world.
In conclusion, Bob Marley's music is the one which has captivated many reggae's lovers around the world. After his dead in 1982 at the age of 32, Bob Marley became one of the world hero. Today, thousands of people are fascinated by his music. When I listen to it , I feel more relax and comfortable.

Topic: The Most Serious Form of Pollution of Global Worming in The World

The improvement of the technology, the effects of human being have been severely
criticized due to their consequences on our planet. The destruction of the ozone in the sky, the reduction of the oxygen on the earth are enormous. Today, scientists are worried about their consequences on the life on the earth, in the sea, and the change of the globe temperature.
Air pollution today is a crucial problem. The improvement of the technology instead of solving problems has created others. Transportation problem today is solved by invention of cars, air planes, boats...etc which are powered by gas and diesel. The combustion of this micro fossil substance realizes smoke and other substances that gradually destroy the ozone in the sky. That ozone protects the earth from the dangerous rays "ultraviolet rays". Scientists have demonstrated that the life will end on the earth by the time those dangerous rays reach the earth planet. Today, the challenge question is: Which source of energy will substitute gas to power cars and planes?
Another crucial problem today is the human effects on the environment. People in order to build houses, construct things, and for economical matter destroy threes and forests. Those threes provide oxygen without which life is impossible on the earth. People destroy the forest but do not replant others. As result, the lack of oxygen will increase the temperature on the earth and the worming of the sea. The plants which grow in the sea will be destroy, minor fish will not longer have anything to eat, the biggest fish also and will died. Since there will no more fish in the sea, how should be our future as they are an important source of proteins for our diet? Sea companies will probably fall. The consequences of the world worming will not only be dangerous only for fish, but also for the whole humanity.
For many years ago, mountains and different area on the polar zone have been covered by snow which has been condensed forming enormous ice blocs. With the global worming of the earth, scientists predict that there will be melting of those blocs of ice which will dramatically increase the sea level. With this spectacular raise of the sea level, there will be flooding in many countries. Consequently, people will lose their properties, homes, cars, business, and some will event lose their life.
In conclusion, the global worming today is one the most important problem about which scientists are worried. Its consequences on the life on the earth, in the sea, and the change of the globe temperature are so borrowing that our future is so critical. Expecting that scientists will find a durable solution to this crucial problem, we will still continue polluting and destroying the environment.
