Dailly assignment : The Consequences of Guns Usage

Topic : The consequences of Guns Usage

Almost everyday and especially in the United States of America, there are gun shots and injuries people around us. Should we control guns? This is a challenged question due to the fact that in the USA, gun control has been controversial because it affects freedom, self-defense, and the right of American to own guns. Because of the high rate crime in America, people thought that the self-defense might be effective if everyone posses a handgun. But what happened? We discovered that owning guns instead of solving problems has created others. Today, the number of robbers is increasing dramatically. We can not stay one month before crimes relating to handguns occur. Many Americans instead of using guns to protect themselves likely use them to commit suicide; the recent one occurred six months ago at Forth Wort when a young lady used her gun to shot died her husband, her three children , before shooting herself. Last Thursday, An American soldier used his private gun to kill thirteen people and injuring Thirty others. We can't imagine how many employees had been shot at night in the gas station by robbers. Last year a Korean student in one University of the USA shot more than thirty students with two handguns before shooting himself. In this way are guns allowed to be use by everyone? It should be difficult to answer because although addictive people use guns in bad way, some people's lives have been saved with guns. I still remember a sixty years old lady who was harassed in her apartment in 3:00 AM by robbers; just when the police were informed, they reached in the spot and fired a gun then the robbers escaped away. Furthermore, one pharmacy was saved by the lost prevention's gun in south Dallas: just when the criminals discovered that the security officers had guns, they ran away. Although guns are indispensable in saving people's lives, the possession of guns should be strictly control by the government. We should therefore establish meaningful and effective federal legislation to regulate the importation, manufacture, sale, and possession of guns. Such legislation should include provision for the registration and licensing of gun purchasers and owners, appropriate background investigation and waiting periods prior to gun purchase and subsequent sale.
